Welcome to Travel Solutions. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of this website and any booking made online or through our toll-free line 1-888-408-6979. By accessing the site, submitting a search or enquiry, or completing a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Our Role as Booking Facilitator
Travel Solutions acts as an independent booking facilitator connecting customers with third-party car rental vendors across Australia and the United States. The actual rental agreement for the vehicle is formed between you and the rental vendor at pickup, subject to the vendor's own rental terms, which you will be asked to sign at the counter. Travel Solutions does not own, operate, or maintain the vehicles.
2. Eligibility & Driver Requirements
- Renters must hold a valid, unexpired driver's licence. International renters may require an International Driving Permit alongside their home licence.
- Minimum age is typically 21 years; premium categories (Luxury, Convertible) generally require drivers aged 25+. Drivers aged 21–24 may incur a vendor young-driver surcharge payable at pickup.
- A credit or debit card in the primary driver's name is required at pickup for the vendor's security deposit.
- You are responsible for providing accurate personal, trip, and age information at the time of booking. Inaccurate information may result in refusal of the vehicle at pickup without refund of vendor-imposed fees.
3. Bookings, Pricing & Online Payment
- Pricing. Rates displayed on this site are per-day base rates for each vehicle category. Your total rental price is calculated as the daily rate multiplied by the number of rental days, confirmed on the booking page before payment. Taxes, airport surcharges, insurance upgrades, fuel, tolls, and optional extras may be charged separately by the vendor at pickup.
- Payment options. You may choose to (a) pay in full online at the time of booking, or (b) pay a $19.99 reservation fee online to secure your booking, with the remaining balance payable directly at pickup.
- Payment processing. All online payments are processed securely by Stripe. Travel Solutions does not store your card details. All amounts are charged in US Dollars (USD).
- Confirmation. Your booking is confirmed only once payment is successfully completed and you see the confirmation screen and/or receive confirmation from our team. If a payment session expires or fails, no charge is made and no booking exists.
- Availability. All bookings are subject to vehicle availability at the selected location. In the rare case a vehicle category is unavailable, we will offer a comparable or superior vehicle, or a full refund of all amounts paid to us.
4. Modifications & Cancellations
Changes to a confirmed booking (dates, times, locations, vehicle category) can be requested by calling 1-888-408-6979. Modifications are subject to availability and may change the total price. Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
5. At Pickup
- Present your driver's licence, booking confirmation, and the payment card used (or a card in the primary driver's name for the deposit).
- The vendor will place a temporary security hold on your card, released after the vehicle is returned in accordance with the rental agreement.
- Inspect the vehicle and report any pre-existing damage before departing.
6. Vehicle Use
You agree that the vehicle will not be used:
- By any driver not listed on the rental agreement;
- Under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or in violation of any traffic law;
- Off sealed roads (unless the vendor expressly permits), for racing, towing without authorisation, or carrying passengers/goods for hire;
- Outside the permitted rental territory stated in the vendor agreement.
Fines, tolls, penalties, and damage arising from prohibited use are your sole responsibility.
7. Insurance
Rentals include the vendor's standard insurance cover as required by local law. Excess/deductible amounts, collision damage waivers, and premium cover options vary by vendor and location and can be added at pickup. Please review the vendor's insurance terms carefully before signing the rental agreement.
8. User Conduct on This Website
You agree not to use this website for unlawful purposes, to submit false or fraudulent information or payments, to scrape or copy site content, to interfere with site security, or to send spam through our forms. We may refuse service and cancel bookings suspected of fraud, with any amounts refunded at our discretion subject to investigation.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, design, logos, and graphics — is owned by or licensed to Travel Solutions and may not be reproduced without written permission.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law: (a) Travel Solutions's total liability arising from any booking is limited to the amount you actually paid to Travel Solutions for that booking; (b) we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, loss of profits, or travel disruption costs; and (c) we are not liable for the acts or omissions of rental vendors, including vehicle condition, mechanical failure, or counter service. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or applicable US consumer protection statutes.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Travel Solutions against claims, losses, and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of a rental vehicle.
12. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which your booking is fulfilled — the relevant Australian state/territory for AU rentals, or the relevant US state for US rentals. Before commencing any formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at 1-888-408-6979 so we can attempt to resolve the issue in good faith.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your booking applies to that booking. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
